Check your bass drum pattern really carefully and count if you need to!

So today we tidied all the parts if seven nation army to the song. By the end of the lesson all the changes were sounding really good. Now you need to listen to the song at home to really learn it! Good work this lesson!

This weeks warm was the 8th note accents try 4 bars of each in a row.
This weeks task is to listen to moves like jagger and get really familiar with it!

Fill ex this week using 3,3,2 combinations. Enjoy! Also the boss's nova groove we built using the same 3,3,2 phrase.

Monday 6pm

So today we almost finished on call. All the grooves were really sounding solid along to the track. Play it as much as u can at home this week!
We also tackled the difficult part of the middle 8 which there is a transcription of below

Monday 5pm

Today we went over the first page of Tiberius. Take care with the bass drum pattern at b, making sure you differentiate between the 8th notes and 16th notes.
We also looked at the fill in the last bar again it's the bass drum that makes this work so take ur time!
Go over no-one knows chart and play as much as you can to the track for next week.

Monday 4pm

Warm this week is flams and flam taps. We are learning wake me up when September ends. Below are the three main grooves which you need to practice going from one to the other smoothly with out stopping!

So today we started learning best of you. Start with the basic 3,3,2 rhythm get comfortable with the feel first. Then We looked at the first chorus section and began breaking down the solo at the end of the song. Take your time and try to hold the 3,3,2 phrase in your mind while you play it.

6pm

So Alex and Oliver great progress this week. Rattle snake was really conning together keep going over the last bar in line one with the syncopated snare drum part.
You also started z again the first two lines are taking shape.
Alex and zane can you look at line a and c of z for next week. Take care with your reading and counting!

Tuesday 5pm

Please practice 21 guns and the groove for what i've done including the open hi-hat.
Also we went over the first page of overatted. Watch the groove change @ c. We'll go over this again next time.

Flam taps are this weeks warm up and we went over 1/4 notes and 8th notes including their rests and how to count them.
Your task for this week is to practice the transition in we are young from groove one to two.

So today's warm was accents in paradiddles. We the little hat is the accented or louder note. Once you have this play the right hand accents on Tom 3 and the left hand ones on Tom 1
Also we went over the grooves for cold play listening for the changes from chorus verse and intro
